Biography
Stephen B. Arthur (SBA) is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering whose research focuses on engineering nanobiomaterials for the targeted delivery of therapeutics across the blood-brain barrier to treat central nervous system (CNS) disorders. Deeply committed to translational science, he believes that while science and engineering offer powerful tools for solving urgent societal challenges, they must be integrated with the human and social dimensions they aim to serve. Through his work at the intersection of engineering and Science, Technology, and Society (STS), he explores how interdisciplinary approaches can bridge technical innovation with social context to address complex health issues such as brain cancer more holistically and ethically.
