Making Choices

Making Choices was a collaborative effort between faculty and students at Zhejiang University in China, the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and Brown University.

Ethical Awareness in International Collaborations: A Contextual Approach

The central premise of the Making Choices project was to train international researchers to recognize the cultural “situatedness” of making ethical choices, and the global and cross-cultural contexts for ethical decision-making. It examined ethics across a very broad range of situations, using the perspectives of social science, humanities and the sciences. The course and its materials were created with the support of a National Science Foundation grant.
